I selected Act 02 from my previous project as the basis for my visual novel or comic page.

After careful consideration, I made the decision to divide the chosen paragraph into four panels for the visual novel. I opted to animate two of the panels, while the remaining two would be presented as still illustrations. This approach allowed for a combination of movement and static imagery.

Upon completing the still illustrations, I proceeded to create multiple artboards in Adobe Photoshop to animate the panels for the visual novel. Initially, I attempted to utilize Adobe After Effects for the animation process. However, when I imported my illustrations into After Effects, I encountered issues such as blurriness and color distortion. Consequently, I made the decision to revert to animating the panels using Adobe Photoshop, as I had experience using this software for animation purposes.

I used Google Slides to compile the chosen act and the final visual novel page.
Reflective Writing.
In this project, I found myself feeling more relaxed compared to previous projects in this module. Being in the final stage of the module, I became more familiar with the functions and features of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, which reduced the time required to work with these applications. I enjoyed this project, as it provided me with the opportunity to visualize a story using my own unique style and design. The final outcome of the project also brought me great satisfaction.
Throughout this project, I learned how to design and create illustrations and animations based on a paragraph from a story. This presented a significant challenge, as it required me to understand the essence of the paragraph and express it visually using my own artistic style. Additionally, I encountered difficulty in incorporating dialogue into the comic, given that the story did not contain any conversations. All in all, this project allowed me to further develop my skills in storytelling through visuals. I am grateful for the opportunity to study this module as it taught me a lot of new knowledge.
