Flip Classroom
For the first flip topic, we've been
divided into groups of 15 people each. Every week, the groups is
assigned a specific title to research and create presentation
slides on.
Flip Topic 01 - Different types of infographics & online
tools
During the first week, our group, Group 02, focused on
different types of infographics and online tools. We divided the
tasks among ourselves, with some members working on the slides
and the others preparing to present them the following
week.
My responsibility within the group was to create the slides,
specifically focusing on the subtopic of timeline infographics.
Before crafting the slides, I conducted research on timeline
infographics to gather relevant information. I compiled important
content, including the definition of timeline infographics and
various types. Additionally, I found an example poster of a
timeline infographic on Pinterest that I believed utilized an
engaging approach to presenting data.

Individual Task
For this individual task, we were
required to select a free online infographic tool and redesign a
poorly constructed infographic poster through our
experimentation with the chosen tool.
I selected this infographic because it utilizes a pie chart to display the percentage of data from the survey. However, the percentages of data on the pie chart total more than 100%. Using a pie chart to represent this data is inappropriate. Alternative methods can be employed to effectively present the data.

Final Outcome Flip Topic 01 - Different types of infographics
& online tools
In my experience using Canva as a tool for creating
infographics, I find it extremely convenient and versatile. Canva
offers a wide range of templates, fonts, effects, charts, and
features suitable for various types of infographics. It's also
user-friendly, especially for beginners with free online tools.
However, I encountered some challenges as well, particularly in
adjusting to Canva's different shortcut keys compared to the Adobe
shortcuts I'm accustomed to. While Canva may not offer the same
level of freedom as Adobe, it still provides plenty of features for
beginners or those looking to create simple infographic designs.

Flip Topic 02 - Saul Wurman’s L.A.T.C.H
During
the second week, which was Week 02, the assigned topic was Saul
Wurman's L.A.T.C.H. I was responsible for researching the subtopic
of Alphabet within the L.A.T.C.H. principle. My research delved
into how Alphabet is utilized within the L.A.T.C.H. principle,
optimal conditions for its application, its effectiveness, and
examples illustrating its usage within L.A.T.C.H.

Flip Topic 03 - Miller's Law
In Week 03, the topic
was Miller's Law. I conducted research on the founder of Miller's
Law, providing an introduction to his background, and explaining the
functioning of this law. Additionally, I delved into the process of
grouping information with this law, chunking. Finally, I compiled
the gathered information into a presentation slide.

In Week 04, the assigned topic was Manuel Lima's 9 Directives Manifesto. I was responsible for compiling information for the presentation slides, specifically focusing on the subtopic of "Cite Your Source." Compared to the previous three topics we covered, there was a limited amount of information available for Manuel Lima's manifesto. Despite this limitation, I made an effort to thoroughly understand the manifesto and listed the methods for citing sources and the benefits of using this manifesto.
