Task 02: Design Proposition
In this task, we are required to further develop user insights, create user personas based on research data, and map the user journey. These findings will then be compiled into a presentation slide deck.

Progress
In the first week, we initially thought that each team member needed to create a user persona based on their individual user interviews. We drafted our personas accordingly and presented them to Mr. Shamsul for feedback.

After reviewing, Mr. Shamsul suggested using a standardized template to ensure consistency across all personas. He also recommended adding more details based on an article he shared.
Following the consultation, we discovered a new announcement regarding Project 02 requirements. Instead of creating separate personas from individual interviews, we needed to analyze and consolidate all interview data, identify patterns, and group users with similar characteristics, behaviors, and personalities. The number of personas would depend on the data, and each persona would require a corresponding user journey map.

I discussed with our leader, JzeShin, to categorize user groups based on our interview data. After separating the data into groups, we extracted key insights such as pain points and needs using the affinity diagram to define the essence of each group. Each team member was then assigned one user persona to complete. Based on their assigned persona, they proceeded to develop the corresponding user journey map.

I then refined the user persona by adding more details based on the identified patterns in the user data. I also considered the persona’s perspective to ensure a more accurate and insightful representation.

Based on my understanding of the user persona I created, I proceeded with completing the user journey map. I used the same template from the previous Minor Project module. First, I listed down my ideas using sticky notes, then refined and rephrased the sentences before adding them to the FigJam board.

In Week 5, after Mr. Shamsul reviewed our progress, he suggested adding more components to the user journey map, such as touchpoints, expectations, and pain points. He also shared a reference link to ensure we included enough details. Additionally, he informed us of a change in the final task requirements, which now included a card sorting method that each member had to complete individually. The data from the card sorting would then be used to develop the information architecture and user flow, which needed to be completed and presented the following week.

Based on his feedback, we refined our user journey maps by adding the suggested components. I followed the same process as before. First listing down ideas for each component, then refining them into proper sentences before pasting them into FigJam.

Next, I worked on the group project slides. Our leader decided to use the slide template from my Task 01 individual project, so I created a new file with the template and shared it with the group for everyone to start filling in their sections. To ensure we stayed on track, I took the initiative to complete most of the slides early, allowing team members to simply add their assigned user personas and journey maps.

I compiled and summarized the user insights and data patterns from the affinity diagram.

Then, I outlined the key essence of each user persona assigned to team members. I also uploaded my completed user persona and journey map. Additionally, I designed the layout for all slides, so team members only needed to insert their content, including their user personas, journey maps, key takeaways, and a project summary outlining the direction for our next steps based on the collected data.

In the process, I also encountered a technical issue with Canva.

FEEDBACK
Week 04
Mr. Shamsul suggested using a standardized template to ensure consistency across all personas. He also recommended adding more details based on an article he shared.

Week 05
Mr. Shamsul suggested adding more components to the user journey map, such as touchpoints, expectations, and pain points. He also shared a reference link to ensure we included enough details. Additionally, he informed us of a change in the final task requirements, which now included a card sorting method that each member had to complete individually. The data from the card sorting would then be used to develop the information architecture and user flow, which needed to be completed and presented the following week.

REFLECTIONS
For this project, I felt that the workload distribution was not well arranged. Task 2 required us to complete only the user persona and user journey map and present them in slides, while Task 3 included five different tasks. However, both tasks were given the same timeframe for completion, which made Task 3 significantly more demanding.
For Task 2, I was able to manage my workload well and complete it on time, as we had experience with user personas and journey maps from the Minor Project. The main challenge was ensuring consistency across the group and incorporating additional components based on feedback.
I also learned that in teamwork, a leader plays a crucial role in assigning tasks early so that team members can plan their time accordingly. It’s important to respect everyone's time management instead of assuming they can adjust at the last minute. Even if some members prefer working closer to the deadline, assigning tasks earlier gives them the flexibility to manage their workload. Completing tasks early also allows time for refinements, improving quality while reducing stress.
