Reflective Writing.
In Project 01, I experienced a sense of relaxation and enjoyment. Being the initial stage of the module, our task was to create both a physical and digital collage. This project aimed to provide us a basic understanding of composition and develop our skills in using Adobe Photoshop. The process of this physical collage was captivating since there were no limitations on the elements we could use. We had the freedom to select and cut out any desired elements from magazines. As for the digital collage, we were provided with a set of elements by Mr. Fauzi and given the opportunity to arrange them freely. It was fascinating to see different compositions created by students, showcasing their unique creativity. In addition to that, we had a digital imaging exercise that focused on improving our skills in utilizing adjustment layers to multiple layers and seamlessly integrating imported images with their respective backgrounds. We also had exercises specifically designed to enhance our proficiency in correcting skin tones in photographs using Adobe Photoshop.
Throughout this project, I acquired essential knowledge about using Adobe Photoshop. I made an effort to practice using the software whenever I had free time, aiming to become more familiar with its features. Moreover, throughout the module, I acquired knowledge on how to apply adjustment layers effectively based on different situations. Besides, I also learned the techniques for recoloring black-and-white images. Additionally, I gained a deeper understanding of composition principles. I recognized the significance of strong composition in capturing viewers' attention and effectively conveying meaning. In the future, I plan to dedicate time to further refine my skills in using Adobe Photoshop and enhance my understanding of composition techniques.
